Watercolor Landscape Lesson Plan
The recent project I took on was quite interesting. The client had no prior experience in drawing and wanted to create a portrait sketch by themselves to gift to a friend. During our conversation, I discovered that initially, they were considering another artist for comparison. However, they chose me in the end because they felt I better understood their desire to personally create and gift the sketch. Hearing this reminded me of the importance of empathy and perspective-taking, something my boss often emphasized back when I worked in the studio. Understanding things from the student's perspective makes it easier to empathize and address where they might be struggling emotionally or what pain points they might have.
